Moved into new premises

Keys at last

At last, after three months, I’ve moved house.

I can finally make my new premises into the display area I’ve always wanted for Art & Adornments.  It is bright, spacious, airy, warm and has a homely air to it.  There is even a very old Pianola complete with scrolls in the corner.  I’d appreciate a lesson on how to use the scrolls, and the piano element for that matter as the only tune I can remember from school is chopsticks!

Not only will I be able to show my pieces in their ideal surroundings, but my home is adjoined so there will be no need for travelling – green on petrol and much more relaxing.  It means I am on site all hours of the afternoon and evening for anyone wishing to visit.  I can offer you refreshments too as my kitchen is next door to the showroom.

The showroom is now in the pretty village of Crick, on the High Street opposite the Co-op.  In fact this building used to be the Old Co-op!  I have a couple of wonderful prints showing the shop keeper outside the building at the turn of the 20th century.  I plan to pose in the same position when the outside of the building is made more beautiful.

There is an enormous amount of work to do before I can showcase my Art & Adornments, so from today I’ll keep you posted on progress.  I am aiming to open the doors to villagers during the Scarecrow Festival on 13th & 14th July – fingers crossed.
